Practicing Yoga on location
I almost always bring my yoga mat with me when I travel, I don’t always use it though. This morning , with the overcast sky and coolish sea breeze, pulled me in for a practice.
I found a smooth spot and pulled up my one hour playlist on Spotify and set my body in motion. The first ten minutes brought the audience of the beach dog we fondly call ‘mama’. She proceeds to take a nap with her head on my mat. My cat often does this at home too. What is it about the yoga practice that draws animals near? Whatever it is, the company is welcome. Namaste

The setting looks like a beautiful spot. I guess animals are attracted to the calm and purposefulness of Yoga. I, myself, am partial to tai chi. Mindfulness is everything.
“This morning , with the overcast sky and coolish sea breeze, pulled me in for a practice” You set the scene for your reader and the photograph helped too. Maybe animals like the calmness of yoga.
I’m like the dog
in the picture
napping.. dreaming
of the logic
of movement,
awake but for
the body, sleeping

Lovely! What indeed? I was just asking this question with a coworker yesterday. Animals and yoga! Mine never stayed off the mat lol
What a peaceful image. I’m looking forward to a trip next week and some beach yoga. Your slice has me excited for a change of scenery on my mat.
This photo rules. Glad you’re making time to practice, keep breathing LFB! 🙂
